Done for Clint's (pwnisher's) Rube Goldberg Dynamic Machines challenge. Struggled a bit early on with concepts, but decided to throw the kitchen sink at it. Previously I've watched a lot of mechanical principle videos involving gears and rotation-to-linear motion, so those were a huge inspiration. Most of the time spent on the project was on rigging the gears to work properly, particularly the nautilus spiral gears used with the copper coil. Technically the ball isn't a magnet, so it wouldn't generate electricity when being run through the copper coil - but it looks cool.
All modeled personally (except nautilus gears) with no kitbashing elements, textured in Substance Painter and rendered with Arnold. Used MASH with the chains.
